Nobel and gbaMS Team to Better Serve Information Management Needs of Municipalities and Water/Sewer Authorities

June 30 , 2005

OVERLAND PARK , KS, and SAN BERNARDINO, CA - GBA Master Series, Inc. (gbaMS) and Nobel Systems, Inc. (Nobel) have initiated strategic business partnering efforts aimed at better serving their common core markets of cities, counties, water districts, and sanitation districts. The focus of these efforts is the coupling of Nobel’s specialized geographic information systems (GIS) and information technology (IT) services with the GBA Master Series® suite of infrastructure management software applications developed by gbaMS.

“There exists an obvious natural fit between the offerings of our two firms”, said Michael Samuel, Nobel Systems President and CEO. “Nobel is geared to cost-effectively convert traditional hard copy maps and map files into a high quality GIS database. The GBA Master Series software suite allows local government and utility agencies to leverage the power of the GIS database to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their infrastructure operations and maintenance activities.” Samuel also noted that the commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) design of the GBA Master Series software significantly expedites initial implementation efforts, and facilitates on-going support and maintenance.

Jim Graham, P.E., gbaMS Vice President and COO, recognizes the added value Nobel brings to GBA Master Series implementations. “The GBA Master Series products have a substantial appetite for data, and Nobel helps enable agencies apply the data that will produce maximum management benefits.” Graham indicated that Nobel will assist gbaMS with GBA Master Series implementation services, and can also provide agencies with expert guidance and advice regarding their current GIS practices and future GIS strategies.
