gbaMS Hosts Most Successful Annual Conference & Training Yet

October 12, 2006

San Diego, Cali. – GBA Master Series, Inc., (gbaMS) had its best turn out to date at its Annual Conference & Training earlier this month in San Diego. The conference – which took place October 2 through October 5 – had 182 attendees, a 28 percent increase since last year. The attendees represented 55 different agencies that use the infrastructure management software.

Each year, the user community convenes at the conference to receive training from gbaMS staff and discuss how different agencies are using the software for infrastructure solutions. Conference attendees also help guide the vision for future software development through user feedback forms, open forums, and panel discussions.

Beyond heightened attendance, this year’s conference also had more presentations, with 127 sessions spread out among three days. The presentations included 77 gbaMS-led training sessions, 10 open forums and panel discussions, 35 client and partner presentations, and five user group meetings.

“By all accounts, I feel as though this has been the best conference and training we have ever held,” gbaMS President and CEO Don Pinkston said. “The sessions were well received, and we have received wonderful feedback from attendees about how valuable the conference was for them. The conference also continues to give us some great ideas about how our software can be enhanced to better help our clients.”

Next year’s conference will be in Kansas City. The date has not yet been set, but gbaMS expects the conference to take place either during the last week of September or the first week of October.
